I'm Alison Gault

I am here to help you THRIVE by tapping in to the power of positive psychology and designing a life that you love.

My personal values of Integrity, Freedom and Equality form the cornerstone from which I live my every day. These values drive my life choices and the way in which I work. 

I have worked to help people thrive through change for decades. I started as an organisational change manager and began coaching senior leaders and executives to lead and live change for themselves and others. Through my work and especially whilst studying my post-graduate qualifications in Coaching Psychology I increasingly became aware of the unique challenges that professional women face as they navigate a working world that was built in different times. So, I started focusing my coaching work on supporting women leaders to amplify their impact. 

My passion to help people live great lives was further fuelled when I studied my Masters in Applied Positive Psychology. I distinctly remember thinking:

“Why doesn’t everyone know about this? Everyone deserves to flourish and be happy. I HAVE to  change this!!”

To bridge the gap between the power of positive psychology and wellbeing science and the everyday lives of everyday people so that everyone can thrive and flourish.

I believe in the life-changing power of positive psychology

I know how powerful the science of positive psychology can be in designing and living a wonderful and fulfilling life. I know because I see it day in and day out. It has increasingly come to shape and direct my life and that of my family and friends (ok, some of them might suggest I’m a bit of a nerd on this stuff!). Just like many people today, I’m a busy, working parent who juggles the demands of a modern life just like everyone else. So I know what it is to be busy, to be overwhelmed with demands and so I also know how to make the science practical and achievable. It doesn’t mean my life is perfect, its an ongoing balancing act to be sure, BUT I do know what works for me and when and how to deploy certain actions. YOU CAN TOO. It’s actually not as hard or time consuming as you might think. Introducing simple, practical, science based activities into your everyday can literally
CHANGE YOUR LIFE. 

Why work with me?

General awareness of  mental health and wellbeing has grown recently. There are clear and improving avenues of support for psychological ill health but what about everyone who is fundamentally well but wants to really flourish? This is where learning from, working with and listening to a qualified positive psychologist or coaching psychologist can be incredibly helpful. You can discover the ins and outs of your own wellbeing, what the science tells us about how flourishing and happiness can be achieved and, most importantly., what works for YOU TO THRIVE. 

There’s a slight catch though. At this time, the coaching industry is completely unregulated. Literally anyone can put up a sign and work with clients without the relevant skills, experience and ethical standards associated with the care of people. I am passionate about the future introduction of regulation for the coaching industry and believe that people will be best served by coaches holding relevant tertiary qualifications. Until industry regulation arrives, I strongly recommend working with someone who you get on with and holds the relevant qualifications.
